Surf

Portugal is home to a number of world class surf breaks. Whether any of those are appropriate for surfski surfing (you know, farther out before the break zone, or on the shoulders, etc, etc.) is something we do not currently have information on. You will have to depend on local knowledge and your own experience. We are inclined to think that the big wave zone at Nazare is probably a terrible place (rocks close to shore, crossing waves, etc.) for surfskis even on smaller days. Closer to town on smaller days? Maybe doable for some…

We suspect that there are more benign beaches where surfing is quite doable and we will include any information about those that we are able to collect.
