I'm planning on it! Howard, Gerardo, and I are thinking of doing it earlier, though (5:15 or 5:30), to pretend that we'll have some daylight to go with the wind and rain…

I got home in time to see three hardy surfski paddlers doing the loop. It was impressive: cold, blowing rain and dark coming so hard you hear the light bleeding out of the day. I recognized Herrardo, but not the other two.
Odd thing was, just about the time these three would be finishing up their showers half the lights in Bellingham went dark. -Coincidence?

You probably recognize me by my distinct paddle-brace-paddle stroke that I have worked so hard to develop… along with Tom and Howard and securely escorted by Larry & Larry Services… very much appreciated!. Kirk and somebody else were doing the 'I love paddling in the dark' thing's so they started about 15 minutes after us.
About the lights thing… we were taking separate showers.
Thanks to all for bringing us along in another great LW paddling season

Yup, that was us! It rained so hard, that I thought about sliding off my ski, so I could dry off a bit, in the lake. I enjoyed coming straight back (from about 2/3 of the way along the east shore), so I could enjoy some downwind fun, before full darkness hit.
It was a fun way to end the Wednesday-night race season. Kinda reminded me of how it started. In any case, I had a blast!
I'll see y'all out on the water at other times while we wait for next year's WNRaces.
