Finally a proper downwind race, Miller's did not disappoint! I helped out with Dawid's surfski school in the morning, and managed to get in the water at the start without scuffling with the baboons (see photos). It was a new experience to get jostled on the starting line with full wind and swell in your face. We had 15-20 knots with 6-8 ft swell coming through. The short upwind section around the rock was [as they say] hectic, and almost delivered a rudder onto my bow tomahawk style, but it glanced off rather than sinking in. npi. Good runs all the way into the beach. You will notice Tim Brabants got me by a minute, but he had to team up with another bloke to do it! Oh, and Joe Glickman sort of dared me to race in that hat.
