I count 6 of the top 30 S2S kayak finishers as under-18, with a couple breaking into the top-10! Very exciting!!

I count 5 in the top 30 S2S kayak finishers to be over 60, (closer to 70). 6 if you count Greg Baron taking first place who will be turning 60 soon enough.

Gratitude to Peter and his great team of volunteers who made the kayak leg of S2S easy and enjoyable. Peter checked our boats in and oversaw everything in a very official looking capacity; Larry did a great job announcing team numbers with indefatigable clarity and verve; Lance and Mark were there helping with boat tents and tape and general assistance (thanks for helping me carry my boat down the ramp, Mark!); Jill was there shouting out the numbers of waiting cyclocross riders . . . and I’m sure there were more of you I am forgetting to mention.
