THANKS to those involved with making this a 110% successful event. A great fundraiser and a VERY fun venue, good food, & swag. Excellent opportunity to participate in a team event and meet a bunch of paddler's i normally wouldnt have the opportunity to chat with. Definitely need to get a few more of us 'northerns' down there for next year's race and i'll be making this one of my 'must attend' 2011 race.

Thanks Gary. This whole event was an idea of Peter Marcus that started two years ago. Each year it has grown substantially. In case you weren't there, we had 61 paddlers, 50 boats, ten teams of five boats and each team did 8 laps around the lake. Total cash raised was almost $3000 and probably a half a ton of food. It was great to see a bunch of SUP's show up and join in. Nice to see so many give back to the community.

Thanks EVERYONE, wow what a nice cause nice day nice folks nice paddle nice volunteering and nice sponsorship!!! Standing around in the nice sun all day was pretty nice too. Nice day, thanks.

Thanks to all who participated not only on the water but also from the pocketbook and the pantry! Kudo's to Lance R for the coffee, Debbie A for the Dessert and Larry G for the Main course. Equipment from Dale M for the buoys, Howat's and Trowbridge's for the electronics and tables and the Nelsons for organizing……..and, of course, all THREE swimmers for the entertainment!

Financial donations were awesome, the food bank coverts our donations into families fed per day and I may be mistaken but as I recall from last year I think it was about a 3 to 1 ratio there by making our donations rise to about 10,000 dollars of meals!!!!

Fantastic and Fantastic to all for helping!!

Hi All,

Once again THANK YOU!! The real low down is…..for every 100 dollars donated to the food bank, they can convert it to 1000 pounds of food, based upon the approximate 3000 dollars generated this will equal…….30,000 Pounds of FOOD!!!

Peter and all I dropped off the Food that we collected for the food bank today There was/were 400 lbs. so With the money and food we collected I think every member of Whatcom Paddlers should pat themselves on the back.
