La Conner - Sound Rowers Race

Annual race in February, usually not rough water although the tidal current in the Swinomish Channel is tricky. One of the most popular Sound Rowers races - both because paddlers are antsy to start the new race season and because the warm soup served after the race is so good. Usually there are a large number of participants even when the weather is not great, also typically including quite a few rowers. Predicting the current direction at race time
