PNW ORCA Winter Series Race #4 Results

Thank you to all who came up to Bellingham today to race! It turned out to be a windless day, and after we sat down to soup, the wind was picking up out of the north!
First my thank yous:
A big shout out and thank you to all of our safety crew today: John R and Leo R in the escort boats, with Paul R, Beau W, Regan L and Tom S on small boats for support. Make sure you thank them the next time you see them. We can’t do these races without them.
Thank you to Brandon Nelson Partners and Lance (COB) for providing the turn buoys.
Thank you to all of the BBOP and Whatcom Paddler volunteers for their help with the soups, registration, timing and securing safety boats. It does take a lot of people to help put on a race. Thanks to our other BBOP crew on the boats to help, Jessamyn was taking pictures and will be posting in the next week.
Finally, thanks to Denise and Paul for donating $100/double to the food banks, 7 registered doubles.
We also have a race-director in training- Mimi Swetish who was on the safety boat and helped us put on this event.
Here are the results, they were posted live. Marc will be making a few corrections to the OC2 categories:

Well played. It was slick to have a tight course like that. A little more fun for spectators. But dang, those tight corners killed me. All the OC folks crushed the corners. Except wow, I got big help from the OC-2 dicing with each other. So lets do it some more.

Great race Jill and Mimi!
It was fun to switch up and paddle OC. Definitely a different craft and some different techniques but good crossover to work out some alternative muscles (feeling those today..).
Thanks to Paul and Denise for their generosity!
It was cool to see Erica and Denise flying in the double ski and meet the new guns in town, Cody and Darian. Ana dominated, and it wasn't even as close as the results show. She blew us all away at the start and had an insurmountable lead before the first 1k.
The seven soups after the race were a huge treat. Can't do much better than that!

Dang, nice vid. Even I look pretty good. Not as good as 'the dunc', but he wasn't there. In fact no Deano?, no dMow?, no Davie? no Whitlock? where are all the big dogs when I was having a good day? Oh wait. maybe that's why. nvermind.
