Just back from Kauai/Maui, and I can't recommend Kauai enough! Dylan's (Thomas) setup in Hanalei is great. He is beyond helpful, and I even had two complete strangers run shuttles for me when I was in a pinch! Serious Aloha. His gallery Havaiki is also something to behold… it's more like a museum of Oceania than a gallery. I also developed an addiction to Taro Coconut Mochi Cake while there, and it became my de facto fuel source…
I had several good days of downwind, and on days that were lighter on the wind front, we often had fun swell to surf in the bay. Paddling down the Na Pali coast should be on every surfski paddler's bucket list!
Check out the speeds on our biggest surf day!

Dylan is also happy to explain how to capture one of the prolific chickens on the island for a quick meal. Huli huli!
