I thought this amusing, I don't think that this could happen, this fast, anywhere else. The story is true, only the names have been changed to protect the obsessive…
All in the last five days..
Jenny buys a newer, every so slightly faster, surf ski and now needs to sell her older, ever so slightly slower, stable boat. Cindy, who owns a too-skinny, fast surf ski but wants a more stable boat instead, buys Jenny's older, stable boat. Now Cindy has to sell her too skinny, fast boat to make room for her “new-to-her” stable boat. Biff, incurable gear-head, who already owns a fast, skinny ski, but doesn't like it that much, buys Cindy's different brand of skinny, fast boat. Now he needs to sell his original fast ski quickly so that he can buy a season pass to Mt. Baker before the end of the month when the prices go up. Biff then sells his original fast ski that he didn't like too much to Skip, a guy who owns an even differenter kind of fast, skinny ski that he doesn't like too much because he's too big and he can't fit all of his muscles into it. Jenny, Cindy, Biff and Skip find out later that all of their boats used to belong to Larry Goolsby (ok, I'm making that part up).

Jenny's husband has been on my ass all week asking when the next wind will arrive. According to this report, it looks like it will be every day from Thursday thru Sunday. Since Biff teaches basket-weaving or some other liberal arts patooey, he'll have to wait until Saturday to get his paddle wet. If I knew who Skip was, I would invite him to join me. I'm not Skip, am I? My ass barely fits in my car let alone my ski. Here's the report:THE FIRST IN A SERIES OF FRONTS WILL BEGIN TO IMPACT THE AREA THURSDAY. WILL LIKELY SEE SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY WINDS FOR THE COASTAL WATERS WITH THIS SYSTEM. ON FRIDAY THE ADVISORY STRENGTH WINDS WILL LIKELY SPREAD TO A FEW MORE AREAS INCLUDING THE ENTRANCES TO THE STRAIT AND THE NORTHERN INLAND WATERS. A STRONGER SYSTEM WILL ARRIVE SATURDAY AND SUNDAY. THIS INVOLVES A DEEP SURFACE LOW MOVING INTO THE QUEEN CHARLOTTE ISLANDS…WITH STRONG PRESSURE GRADIENTS EXTENDING INTO THE WASHINGTON WATERS. WINDS ARE LIKELY TO BE SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY STRENGTH OVER ALL WATERS WITH GALE FORCE WINDS…EVEN HIGH END GALES…
