Congratulations Racers!!! Way to throw down in the cold, rainy, windy – BEAUTIFUL LAKE WHATCOM WEATHER!

Here's how you did:
http://www.webscorer.com/race?raceid=21818 (Thanks Michael Lampi for posting these – and to Paul Clement, Thom Prichard and Peter Marcus for capturing and editing them).
Apologies for any discrepancies, but this should be close to accurate.

UNBELIEVABLY HUGE THANKS to all the volunteers and racers-who-became-volunteers. What an amazing army of awesomeness!

I would name, honor, and hug every single one of you – and I'm doing that now, in spirit!
'Til next year!

Wow, crisply done results.

And everything else about the race organization was superb.

Now for the stories: working the drafts seemed to be the key on this race. The breeze was so persistent for first half. I jumped off the group I started with and never made to the next pack-train. Doing the first half solo just wore me out. The three-pack of Elana, Mike G & Michael Dee caught me at the island and tried to pull me along. I didn't have the beans to stick with them. It was amazing to watch these guys work with each other.

That was spooky when the OC-6 climbed MG's boat. The OC-6 was crowded in with wash-riders, but even if they could have turned, those heavy beasts don't manuver good.

Testament to the Epic construction quality and I don't think it hurt MG's looks or reputation. Thank goodness the rowers were kept out of this equation.

I would say that I'm disapointed in my results. To all of my fans everywhere, oops. I guess I'm not lord of the flat water after all. I guess I'll wait till next year to put out my instructional cassette tapes. But no worries, I'm eating tons of cookies, taking tonic baths and should be able to sit in a 'ski again in a few weeks.
