No official start time but rumor is 1:00 or 2:00. Thanks for the support!
Sprint knock-off races this morning. Start 250 meters out - sprint to the beach and a short run. Super entertaining. Ana got third U19 to a couple surf lifesaving girls. They learn to paddle shorebreak and run on sand before they can walk here. So cool. Will post video of the open men and women if I can - it was intense.
Last night was an 11km race up the coast - with 270 of your best friends. Beach start. Heather took second masters. Ana took second U19. I continued to conserve energy for tomorrow.
More to come after the big one!

I finally found the results for the Thursday night race. It appears that Ana was fourth female overall and first under 19, with Heather 10th overall and 2nd 40s.

It was a long , hot race! I pushed my 35 pound V10 Sport I rented in anticipation of big wind as fast as I could. Psyched to be3rdMaster Women! Ana raced smart and strong, finishing 2nd U19.
420 entrants.
I am sure there will stories to come…

And congratulations to Tom in the men's over 40. That group seemed absolutely packed. They seemed to have plenty of barnacles and tons of aspiring barnacles up and coming in their 40s and 50s.
