Big turn-out yesterday, 56 boats I believe and 66 paddlers give or take. It’s a circular course around an island in the Columbia. It wasn’t the best conditions for fast times, one direction was with a big current but into 15mph wind waves, and the backside of the course was against the current, in shallow water, and sheltered from the tail wind.

First 5 vessels were ski, OC2, ski, OC1 and OC2.

There’s a new pub at the start/finish and pizza and beer was plentiful. Hats off to Mountain Home Canoe Club for a well run event.
