Anyone know how the B’ham + 1 (Aaron) has done? Was it this last weekend?

I have been following it on the Planet Canoe YouTube channel.
They did not show up in the K2 500 Final A. The times in the final were well within the range Jonas & Aaron have been able to post in the past.
The heats & semis were not covered that I could find. Ditto with the K1 500 and K1 1000.
Both Jonas and Aaron started the 5000, which had 46 entries and included a portage down a short dock for every lap. It was a chaotic mess. They both got buried.
It will be good to hear it from them directly. From here, though, this looked like a really tough weekend.

I think this is Jonas reaching for the boat and taking a swim

Hey all, thanks for the interest!
We had really bad cell/Wi-Fi so a bit behind on the updates but here’s the details!
As you guys saw from Egor’s link, the 5k was wet and wild to say the least. 6 laps and 5 portages made for lots of carnage so Aaron and I are both lucky to have survived and officially finished. I think our final results were 22 (Aaron) and 24 (me).
For the K1 1000 I got the short end of the stick in the progressions department with a fast heat and found myself in SemiFinal B which mean the highest I could place is winning the E Final, which I did. After comparing times from the other finals that occurred I would have been competitive in as high as the B Final. But that’s boat racing!
For K1 500 Aaron qualified for the C Final and placed 6th.
For K2 500 Aaron and I had a very strong heat, placing third and qualifying for the semifinal with a time considerably quicker than we had hoped for. Our semifinal wasn’t fantastic, the week of racing and jet lag finally caught up to us but overall the purpose of this trip was to get more practice racing at this level and figure out what we’re missing come world champs and Olympic qualifiers in August.
It’s safe to say we learned a lot (which was the goal) and are super excited to get back to training in prep for world champs this summer!
See you all at ski to sea!
