Whew!! That was fun!!! Great people, Great Cause and Great Appreciation for what we have in This community! Thanks!!
12 teams, about 80 paddlers, perfect weather (The rain pretty much away stayed away) Thanks to all the volunteers who helped set up , take down, and with Food (Kevin O, Amber Z, Julie V, Larry G, Dorothy B). All the cookie bakers, The Cookie Contest Winners (Kelly A, Brandon B, and Glenn and Christie B). THANK YOU!

The Grand 2019 Champions was, coincidentally, Team #1 of Mia C., Zach M., Abbey S., Hillary G., and Jeff D. However, the more prestigious award of the New DL Award went to Team # 12…whose identity is secret….. :)

Just wanted to Thank All the paddlers and friends and parents and those clubs that participated and those who donated online, The Kayak Polo Team, The Kids Program from Lake Padden, The Kids program from BBOP, and The Kai Pana OC 6 Club and BBOP OC 6 Club.
I deposited today, after waiting for a few more donations that were coming to the Food Bank and our running total is now nearing 8000.00 dollars!!! Fantastic community by us all paddlers and pullers and if you were all near me…A Hug for all!!!
This translates to about 64,000 dollars of buying power to the food bank……AWESOME!
The online donation is still up so if you have any friends or family or co workers that would like to donate or (confidentially) they can still do it…check out the address below!

That’s some serious bank at a difficult food time of the year! Mahalo Pedro and all the volunteers that pony up year after year to make a substantial difference for those that have less….
