Kelowna is known for its active and strong paddling community who regularly compete in SUP, OC, and Surfski races all over the Pacific Northwest
Downwinders
- Lake Okanagan - a long, primarily north to south lake that can get good winds and long wave fetch for downwinding. Although the lake is much longer than wide, it does get close to or over 2 miles wide in many places.
