kick in the pants. It reminded me of the small group races of 20/30 years ago. There was a race out of Granville Island that was just a pile of paddle monkeys like this. No bling, Pre-race meeting and Awards were so quick. Everyone goofing off instead of all game face.

Mostly flat, including my performance, but lots of yelling and screaming. Great race support on the water, (three power boats, plus a few watch folks on station). Interesting current decisions that probably didn't matter. That pull to the first turn was hard. The rest was a grind. Great food after.

Yes those people packing a big boat and a small boat ( not sure what they’re called ) know how to eat. Thanks for the invite, I know surfski paddlers are kind of scum but it was great to mix it up.flex boy
