- In Florida there are a number of inlets with tide in and outflow that develop good waves with opposing winds, but the boat traffic can be a greater hazard than the current and waves
- Jupiter - Jupiter Inlet sea kayak video, surfski video watch for times with less boat traffic? Notice in the comments for the sea kayak video that the kayaker, Ben Fontenot, says he has to wait for numerous boats before each of his runs.
- Miami - Haulover Inlet might be a great tidal race to surf if it wasn't for the crazy amount of large speed boat traffic it gets. Is there an off season for the motor boats?
