Hello Brace
Brace & use other hand to wave, etc.

Top Hand ( his most important drill)
Top hand pulled in close to shoulder
Look at top hand; not at blade in water
Pull and brace back on the way to catch; repeat
Locked Elbow (brace drill)
Braced back
Look at shoulder
Hold shaft across chest - touching
Paddle with core
Same as Core, but paddle out in front a little
Look at shaft!
Shaft a little out from chest
Watch it; head down
Pull bottom forward and slide down bucket
Don’t push into back of bucket
Pull bum a millimeter away from back before push
Take power off before left out
Go for 0 splash
Touch elbow to before catch
Slow motion
Pause when elbow touches knee
Do every time in water
Both legs over one side
Take short stroke on same side as legs and flips legs over to other side
Put brake on in water so don’t move forward
Brace while changing paddle length Other Drills
One side paddle, 100 each side
Eye’s closed
Head left, right, center for certain number of strokes
Pause before catch
Slow motion paddling - hold recovery position for 3 seconds
One finger drill: thumb to one finger no power paddle - perfect form
Open and close hands on each stroke to relax grip Other Drills cont.
Measure how far can go with 50 strokes
Work to stay on wave
Get HR down and rest
Increase power over cadence (Oscar)
