| Pulled into MP and checked the conditions around noon. It was pushing westerly on shore but looked SW out by the buoy. | Got to WC and the waves were more W than S. As we paddled out Denise and I joked about doing laps there, but when we looked, Brian and Eric were headed south. As we headed north, the waves became bigger breaking waves, ama side, from the west that kept pushing us inside. Then, if things couldn’t get better, we got hammered by a high wind squall outta the north. High winds, hail and haystacks had us thinking about tucking behind Chuck Island and waiting out the storm…that woulda been the smart move.
