Timing is everything. Pete and Shaun (infamous Whyte Bros.)met me down at Marine park at 10 am. We were slightly ahead of the arrival of the wind. Rain was steady, water was flat. The weeds were so bad that we often had to get out of our boats and portage across the large floating mats of eel grass. All the while, Pete kept sharing his whimsical insights with us whether we liked them or not. Shaun and I tried pulling away from him, but he's become too fast to elude. Since i was paddling a yellow Huki and wearing a yellow jacket and pfd, I considered forming my own brotherhood and calling it 'The Yellow Bros'. Pete shared some negative insights about the name. As LB would say, "It doesn't get any better than this." Yes, it does - you just have to wait a few hours.\\ Timing is everything. -I met Mike G at 4:30 last night.  The wind chart was showing 35 mph with 40 mph gusts.  That was about right.  As Mike said, "Its a bit puffy."  We got up to the first point and turned before we put our noses in the "puffs" and did laps.  Even in the R, I was worried about getting blown over with a gust. It was fun, but right on the ragged edge.  Larry B+I met Mike G at 4:30 last night. The wind chart was showing 35 mph with 40 mph gusts. That was about right. -Don't make me ask LG to censor these messages.  All this talk about the large papyrus islands on Lake Titicaca is disturbing certain sensibilities.  And some of our members have less sensibility than others.  I know you guys are talking about something that might lead to a rigid interpretation.  So, just, whatever it is you are talking about I know what it is.  Some of you are parents.  This kind of talk is probably what got you into that mess in the first place.+
