===== Tour de Indian Arm/Think International Challenge ===== **John Rybczyk** \\ 05/15/16 #19268 Hello All, Time marches on. Today was the 9th running of the Think International Challenge. As I was looking over the record crowd at the awards ceremony it struck me; what a wonderful community of watermen and women we have built here. A rare thing these days when others talk of building walls. Thanks to Bob Putnam and Daryl Remmler for the vision those many years ago. I'll leave it to others to share tales of gore and glory, enough here to say that after eight straight USA wins, the Canadians seized the day. They were too fast and too many, despite a record turnout from team USA. Team Canada wins the Think International Challenge. Well done and well deserved. Paddle on my friends, John M. Rybczyk **Bob Putnam** \\ 05/16/16 #19276 Quote of the Day:\\ "Where did all these Kelowna paddlers come from? I've never heard of Kelowna before this! Is it even in Canada??"\\ John Rybzyck **Dale McKinnon** \\ 05/16/16 #19277 Hooray, CA!!! (Mmm, it's about time...) **Roger Lamb** \\ 05/16/16 #19269 Thank you, Bob.\\ Way to go, John\\ https://www.webscorer.com/race?raceid=69626 **Reivers Dustin** \\ 05/16/16 #19271 Jeeze Loueeze! the mid-pack pecking order is in ashes folks. Now I'm glad I didn't make it across the border. My fragile self image would have been trashed. Until I got through the first half of a good Canadian brew. Maybe some drug testing results should be included. First mixed double only one minute back from the top finisher. My arch-rival LB going off on some kind of tour-de-france oops tour-de-Indian-arm road rage trip. Musta been that hill climb from the last island across to the cove. I bet Bob P. said something mean to LB and then had to paddle for his life to stay ahead. Looks like the yankee reign of terror is over. Doesn't somebody have to buy everyone beers? And Canadian bacon. rd
