Great race, Kevin and crew!

My experience of the short course was a revelation. Who knew? Just a tiny taste of everything, but not too much. I got my race start adrenaline, a little drafting practice, some sludgey effort with the current against us, and then the turn buoy, saying, enough! Doing the short course was like leaving a feast in that perfect, far-from-stuffed feeling. Like you could go back for more when you felt ready, but not right then. I was off the water, had the boat on the car, was changed, dry and warm, all in time to watch the speedsters come in off the long course. What a perfect outing and a great start to the season.
